Kingfisher leaders visit Bohunt Trust
Craig Morrison, Chief Executive, writes:
Last week, myself and our secondary heads had the pleasure and privilege of two days immersed within Bohunt Education Trust with trust leader Neil Strowger and colleagues. Now 10 years into their journey and 10 schools in number, this is a remarkable trust doing great things for their young people. The sense of unity and purpose was so strong, but so was the balance between the 'bedrock' of what makes a Bohunt school and the freedom leaders have to nurture the character of their own communities and act with agency.
This balance is exactly what we're looking to achieve at Kingfisher Schools Trust and it was wonderful to see what this looks like in a mature trust with excellent outcomes. I would recommend that anyone with the chance to visit Bohunt Education Trust takes the opportunity!
My thanks too to the National Institute of Teaching CEO programme for helping to make lasting connections such as the one between Neil and I and our two trusts.
We were fortunate over the two days to visit five fantastic schools: the original Bohunt School in Liphook; Bohunt Priory in Portsmouth; Bohunt Horsham, an all-through school; The Petersfield School; and Bohunt Farnborough.
